Garnet Chocolat is a family-owned and operated candy company located in beautiful Bellevue, Iowa. It all began with innkeeper Christine Zraick who has owned historic bed and breakfast Mont Rest in Bellevue since the late 1980's. She wanted to provide her guests with something delectable waiting for them in their rooms but found it hard to find chocolates that were both delicious and affordable...

        So she started making her own.        

Christine loves chocolate and soon discovered she loved making it just as much! Making candy and tweaking her various recipes began as a fun hobby (and her 3 daughters loved being her samplers!). Soon guests at the inn began to inquire where these delicious candies came from and many returned specifically for the chocolate. One such guest drove three hours each way just to get another taste of Christine's candy.

      


She would give her candy to friends around the holidays as gifts and many of them urged her to begin selling it. Thus Garnet Chocolat was born which boasts many different kinds of candy from truffles to toffee. Christine has spent the last 25 years perfecting her recipes and has finally decided to make them available to buy!
